I'm sorry you are so sad about leaving your job but it's nice to hear that you felt so appreciated and valuable while you were there. That's not always the case.

The good thing is that in this day and age, you have the world at your fingertips and can find so many ways to keep busy and engaged on the computer. You can craft, blog and it doesn't have to be anything related to your boobs. I stalk your feed daily waiting for the next blog post!

Even if she can't tell you herself, I'm sure Anna appreciates that you are staying home with her and not leaving her with strangers. I always think of the movie Erin Brokovich when they talk about the babysitter smelling like chicken fat. We don't want that...

Guilty, I'm afraid, of completely staring at the baby the entire time we were at lunch last week. It's just always astounding to me that my friends are making little people now. (But, hey, at least I wasn't staring at your boobs!)

Like Tori, I appreciate your writing - you really do have a fine, humorous way with language. Have you ever thought about entering the mommy blogosphere to get the adult interaction you're craving?

Your new boss will appreciate you WAY more than any of your other bosses have in the past...trust me!

I too grew up with a stay at home mom, however I've always wanted to be a SAHM myself...but doubt we are going to be able to afford it so I'll probably look at PT once we finally do get pregnant. I always loved having my mom home at lunch and dinner...no one else's mom was ever home to make them snacks. One of my favorite memories is coming home after school and my mom an I would have a cup of tea...so nice!

Anyhoo, congrats!

Dorrie,
I can definitely appreciate your desire for a balance in your life. Sorry you couldn't have your cake and eat it too. I was really hoping you could work it out. Their loss!!

When we have lunch next week, I promise NOT to stare at your chest and I'll have lots of grown up discussion topics. :-) Let's brainstorm too - maybe there is something else you can do from home?

Your new boss is probably also cuter than your old one. :)

My BFF had a baby last September, and we've since joked about the fact that now absolutely no one seems to give a shit about her or her husband. Babies are so cute that we're all easily distracted by them.

But hey, listen--this was a really great blog post. I really appreciate your writing! (not quite verbal affirmation, but it's close)
